DRA Mainstreet Promenade

Omega Associates & Engineers, LLC provided geotechnical engineering services for the planned Shade Structures associated with the FIFA 2026 World Cup, located within the constrained downtown blocks bounded by Preston Street, Louisiana Street, Smith Street, and the Lyric Centre Building. The project includes canopy structures along Main Street that will serve as rest areas for visiting tourists, requiring deep foundations due to limited working space. Our team evaluated subsurface conditions to support deep excavation planning, site grading, and the design of drilled piers for the Shade Structures. Services included field exploration and soil borings, laboratory testing, geotechnical analysis, and preparation of the final geotechnical investigation report.
